In the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday, the Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped six places from the 38th position to 44th position.
Despite getting four points from their Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier double-header against Cameroon in August and September, the three-time African champions dropped a place from the fourth position they occupied last month to the fifth position on the continent.
The Super Eagles however still retained their stay in the top 10 teams in Africa for the 10th consecutive month.
Egypt, who are 30th in the world with 866 points, are still Africa’s number one. They dropped five spots from the 25th position they occupied last month. Tunisia are second on the continent and 31st in the world. They moved three places from their 34th position last month.
